Move Up in Manufacturing

KOM just launched the Move Up in Manufacturing program. This program is for participants who want to pursue any career field. It teaches valuable skills used in every profession with a focus on manufacturing careers. There will be classroom instruction, hand-on activities, and manufacturing employer tours. In the classroom, topics will include setting career goals, developing resumes, interview practice, communication skills, how to ask for promotions and training opportunities, understanding benefits, comparing job offers, reading a paycheck, and more. Additionally, participants will receive financial coaching to help achieve their financial goals. 

The manufacturing career has many options including the following: medical, food & beverage, printing & packaging, tool & dye, and more. Entry level positions pay $18-24 per hour with opportunities for advancement.
