KOM provides vocational training opportunities for immigrants and refugees in a variety of fields. Click the links to learn more about each of these opportunities.

Apprentice Ready+

Apprentice Ready+ training provides an introduction to a variety of trade skills, career counseling, certification opportunities and placement in a sustainable career.

Career Ready for English Language Learners

The Career Ready program for English Language Leaners offers one-on-one self-paced support for individuals looking for a better job and to improve their English skills. Participants get paid to learn and can earn up to $1,250.

CDL Careers

The Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training includes classroom sessions to prepare you for the written permit test and behind-the-wheel instruction to earn your class A CDL.

Community Services and Interpreting Training (COSI)

Community Services and Interpreting Training (COSI) will help you learn about the human services and interpreting fields, and earn relevant credentials, like the 40-hour Community Interpreter certificate, Leadership Essentials Certificate, and 9-college credits in Human Services courses.

Pre-CNA

The Pre-CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) class is for individuals who are interested in long-term care careers but are looking for extra language learning and hands-on practice before starting a CNA program.
