The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Alice Buckner will be the next Executive Director of the Karen Organization of Minnesota.
Alice has been serving as KOM’s Development Director for the past two years. She brings decades of experience in nonprofit management.
She previously operated an organizational development consulting and contracting firm for 16 years and has held roles as a consultant, leadership team member, board member, volunteer, and adjunct professor. She holds a B.A. in English from Bennington College and a Master’s in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco.
Alice has demonstrated a passion for KOM and the communities that it serves. Alice has a vision for addressing some immediate needs of KOM, and she is committed to working with the Board on a strategic plan that will include intentional resources dedicated to developing the next wave of KOM leadership in the next few years.
We are excited to have Alice transition to this new role at KOM and are grateful for willingness to serve in this capacity.
