Karen Traditional Wrist Tying Ceremony 2026

Save the date for the Karen Traditional Wrist Tying Ceremony on August 22-23, 2026 in Harris, MN, organized by the Karen Culture Organization of Minnesota. (Visit their Facebook page for more details and updates).

The tournaments will include exciting sports for adult soccer, girls and boys volleyball, and caneball. There will also be a Little Miss Karen/Knyaw pageant, carnival games, and food sales to support KCOM youth.

Schedule:

Saturday, August 22nd, 9:00am – 9:00pm: Sports tournament, food, community tabling, and activities.

Sunday, August 23rd, 10:00am – 6:00pm: Main ceremony in the morning, followed by a continuation of sports tournaments, food, community tabling, and activities.
