Pa Mu Paw graduated high school in Texas and moved to Minnesota in 2021. She was initially working at KOM as the Youth Program Intern. Pa Mu Paw is eager to work with her community and Karen youth again since she was not as connected for a time due to moving. Through her internship she is passionate about improving her communication and critical thinking skills. As the internship came to an end, she was still eager to work with her community and improving her communication. An opportunity here at KOM opened up for Paw Mu Paw to be a receptionist. She is now working at KOM as a receptionist. This position has helped her to improve her communication. It also helps her to not be afraid to ask for help, because without the help of staff here, Pa Mu Paw said she “won’t be able to overcome the fear of asking for help.” Being in the community and communicating with many people has always been somethings her younger self wanted to see and do in the future. Pa Mu Paw is grateful for this opportunity and she hopes to do more for the community in the future.
