Lisa was born in Wisconsin to refugee parents. She currently lives in Saint Paul, MN. Lisa considers herself a lifelong learner who believes that everyone is capable of learning something new, whether it is about themselves or others no matter what age they are at. Before joining Karen Organization of Minnesota, Lisa worked in customer service and held variety of administrative roles. As a member of the Career Pathways team at KOM, Lisa will utilize her skills to connect participants to meaningful job opportunities. As Training Coordinator, Lisa is enthusiastic to build relationships with community members and to provide resources to immigrants and refugees to ease the burden of navigating complicated systems in the US. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys warm weather, listening to books and podcasts, traveling and biking throughout the twin cities.
