Latyran Adams

Latyran Adams was born in the small town of Symonds, MS. She later moved to Lake City, MN, with her family at the age of 13. Latyran has worked in various capacities within the nonprofit leadership sector, including as a consultant for nonprofits, advisory board member, volunteer manager, and business owner. Her diverse background has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining KOM, Latyran held several positions at the Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County. She served as the Financial Wellbeing Specialist, the VITA Site Coordinator, and the FAIM Coordinator, where she played a pivotal role in teaching, coaching, and promoting financial literacy and empowering individuals to achieve their financial goals and build assets and to create legacy for their families.

Latyran’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Human Services, which she obtained in 2012. In 2020, she completed a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Metropolitan State University.

Outside of work, Latyran enjoys traveling and exploring the world with her 17-year-old son, trying new foods, experiencing different cultural traditions, visiting art museums and theme parks. Latyran is also an avid pool player, participating in a local APA league, and enjoys playing darts, biking, gardening, crafting, writing poetry, and cooking. Her unique skills as a food artist allow her to create stunning charcuterie extravaganza boards and grazing tables, which she loves sharing with family, friends, and coworkers.

Latyran is excited to be part of the passionate team at KOM and is dedicated to helping and educating individuals to develop financial literacy education and skills. Latyran’s goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to build long-term financial wealth, assets, and equity for both their families and the community as a whole.
