Arash was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and moved to Los Angeles with his family at the age of ten, as a refugee of war. In 2017, he moved to Greece to work with the Afghans and other refugee communities that were trying to enter the West. After spending three years in Greece, he moved to Minneapolis in the heart of George Floyd Square. He also has an extensive background in business, marketing, and business development in the start-up industry. Arash has always been fascinated by human interaction and relationship development. It was that curiosity that made him seek a career in business, until his experience in Greece made him realize that he can use the skills he had developed in business towards uplifting others.

Arash has a son, Dominic, who lives in LA. Together they have backpacked through Europe and Alaska, and spent two months in the wilderness of Montana. Arash’s educational background is in cultural anthropology and he is passionate in community organizing, social justice work, spending time in nature, creative writing, and family.
