Ammal Hagi is a dedicated Human Resources professional with extensive experience in social services, committed to making a positive impact in the community. Her career has spanned roles from Case Worker, where she provided critical support and advocacy for individuals and families, to HR Manager, where she led recruitment efforts, implemented employee engagement strategies, and ensured compliance with regulations.

Ammal grew up in Canada and recently moved to Minnesota. She is thrilled to contribute to the Karen Organization of Minnesota’s mission of supporting and empowering the community. Her work aligns with her passion for helping others, particularly newcomers who are navigating new challenges and opportunities.

Outside of work, Ammal enjoys spending time with family and friends and harbors a deep love for travel. Last summer, she had the opportunity to visit Toronto, Sweden, Norway, and Paris. These experiences enriched her understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives.
