Currently, she is working towards a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. As a Title IV-E Child Welfare Fellow, she is dedicated to bringing her heart to her work with youth and families at risk of entering the child protection system.
With 6+ experience in mental health and social services, it was as a youth counselor at a St. Paul Youth Crisis Shelter she came in contact with many bright and inspiring Karen youth struggling with chemical dependency and mental health issues. She is a firm believer that each youth is inspiring, gifted, and powerful in all their own little ways. She hopes to instill this light within the youth she serves. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, traveling, yoga and martial arts.
