June Way

MSW, LGSW, Psychotherapist at Amherst Wilder Foundation
June is a former refugee from Thailand who relocated to the United States in 2013. She pursued and earned a master’s in social work at the University of Saint Thomas in 2023 with the hope of practicing psychotherapy with refugee and immigrant communities especially those identified as Karen and/or Burmese refugees. June has served the Karen community through her various roles as an interpreter, school liaison, skills worker, case manager, and currently as one of the very few Karen-speaking therapists in the Twin Cities. June is multilingual in Karen (both dialogue), Burmese, and English. Her passion and love for her community led her to join and serve as a board member at KOM.
