Miguel Izaola graduated with his Master of Arts in 2023 from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a degree in Counseling and Psychological Services and a Certificate in Addiction Studies. He proceeded to obtain his certification as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and is working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

For many years, Miguel provided residential services for individuals battling with co-occurring mental health disorders and substance use disorders. During this time, he also held positions in the intensive outpatient primary at facilities that focused on substance abuse. Following that, Miguel worked in an outpatient program as a therapist, primarily focusing on mental health. On occasion there were clients that also struggled with substance use. He also held a brief position working in a program alongside a school as a mental health therapist assisting kids from 3rd-8th grade.
