Abdul Shakoor Quraishi is a proud Afghan refugee and dedicated team member of the Karen Organization of Minnesota. As someone who has personally experienced the challenges of resettlement, he is passionate about supporting Afghan refugee youth and families in the community. In his role, Abdul works to provide cultural orientation, language assistance, and connection to vital resources. Abdul shares, “I strive to empower young people to navigate their new surroundings, build resilience, and thrive in their new home. I also collaborate with families to address their unique needs, foster a sense of belonging, and promote overall well-being. Through my work at the Karen Organization of Minnesota, I aim to make a positive impact and help create a brighter future for Afghan refugees in our community.”
