DESCRIPTION:The Karen Organization of Minnesota (KOM) and Karen community cordially invite you to attend the 2763 Karen New Year Celebration. This year\, the event will take place on Saturday\, December 30th & Sunday\, December 31st\, 2023\, at Washington Technology Magnet School (1495 Rice Street\, St. Paul\, MN 55117). \nThe Karen New Year Celebration is an important event in the community that celebrates new beginnings and reflects on the past year. Over 1\,000 Karen and other community members are expected to share in the festivities while cultivating friendships and participating in Karen cultural traditions. \nSchedule\nSaturday: \n4:00 pm – 9:00 pm         Little Miss Karen & Live Concert \n4:00 pm – 8:30 pm        Resource Fair \nSunday:             \n10:00 am – 12:00 pm     Main Program \n1:00 pm – 4:00 pm         Traditional Karen Dances & other performances \n10:00 am – 3:30 pm      Resource Fair \nSponsorship\nAll events will be free of charge. Many Karen community members have donated money to support this event\, but the expenses of hosting such a large event are beyond what the community can provide. Your sponsorship will show your agency’s support for the Karen community and keep this event free and accessible for all community members. \nFor your convenience\, registration can be paid by check or credit card no later than Sunday\, December 24\, 2023.
