Laani Xiong is from Brooklyn Park, MN. She studied at Saint Cloud State University where she graduated with a B.A in Political Science and B.S in Field Biology and Ecology. She spent a year studying at the University of Cape Coast in Cape Coast, Ghana before graduating.

Before joining KOM, Laani served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines where she worked with the Department of Social Welfare and Development as a Youth Development Facilitator.

As the Strategic Partnerships Manager, she is excited to continuing working alongside communities in finding and creating  opportunities for them to grow and thrive.
